The Northwest Special Economic Zone of Gulf of Suez, where the China-Egypt · TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone is located, is the sole special economic zone of Egypt with SEZone Authority which directly subordinates to the Prime Minister of Egypt. The SEZone Authority has all the policy-making power except for policies in the fields of national defense, internal affairs, diplomacy and judicature. And special dispute treatment center is set to solve various problems of the enterprises stationing in the Cooperation Zone for investment.
A one-stop service center is established in the special economic zone, which transacts establishment and registration of the company and relevant government documents for enterprises stationing in the park. Enterprises stationing in the park for investment can enjoy more convenient and effective service.
Customs duties, sales tax and any other taxes and dues are exempted for importing various kinds of materials and equipment necessary for operation of company, enterprises and their branches in the special economic zone.
Various kinds of taxes and dues can be exempted according to relevant standards for import of various kinds of automobiles and ships special for production and service activities.
Companies, enterprises and their branches in the special economic zone can carry out various kinds of import and export business by themselves directly without registration and approval of import and export. It is close to the third largest port of Egypt -- Ain Sokhna port. Combining with the surrounding transportation advantages, a stereoscopic and fast composite logistics network is established; the bonded area system is adopted, including the “certificate-free, duty-free and bonded” policies, which provide more convenient and advantageous development conditions for import and export of the enterprises.
